Detoxing Your Mind
We hear a lot about detoxing our physical bodies today from all the chemicals, bacteria and pesticides in our foods. It does our body good to go through deep cleanses and rid our bodies of toxins. In the same way, there are all kinds of toxins that can build up in our mind. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do, how somebody hurt us, what someone said we couldn’t do, and how we’ll never get ahead; those thoughts are toxic thoughts. And toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste. It will eventually contaminate our whole life. It affects our self-image. It affects our attitude and our level of confidence. It becomes a part of who we are. That’s why it says in Proverbs 4:23, “Above all else guard your heart for it affects everything you do.” The writer is saying to make guarding your mind a priority. Put this at the top of your “To Do” list because if your mind gets polluted, your whole life is going to be polluted. Every morning when we get up, we should go through this cleansing and detoxing. Forgive the people that have hurt us. Let go of every disappointment. Detox low self-esteem. Detox the negative words. Detox little dreams. If you will guard your mind and not let these toxic thoughts take root, but keep it full of faith-filled thoughts, you’re going to rise higher and higher into new levels with God!

Faith Discovery Challenge #17 ( Jars og Clay)
Faith Discovery Challenge #17 - {Jars of Clay}
{Jars of Clay}
In 2 Corinthians 4:7-14, talks about this precious treasure hidden in our earthen (human) vessels that many of us have not fully come to realize. What we possess as children of God, is something powerful and miraculous that if we come to understand what it is, we can be victorious in our life. In this chapter, it also goes on to say how we are pressed but, not crushed... perplexed, but not in despair... persecuted but, not abandoned... struck down but, not destroyed... Just like real clay jars that have been molded, they must go through a process where it is heated up in a kiln in order to strengthen, harden, and set their shape. God is continually molding us and shaping our lives to be a reflection of His image. So regardless of how frail and weak our physical bodies or minds may be or how much we find ourselves wanting to give up, we must keep in mind that during these trials, our spiritual bodies are being strengthened and perfected in Him that we can be a living testimony of His power and grace. What helps me whenever I'm feeling like the whole world is falling apart, is that I'm reminded that the same power that rose Jesus from the dead within us, the same power that healed the sick and made the blind see, the same power that created this universe, it is within us the moment we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. We have power to overcome every bit of oppression or adversity that comes to challenge us. When we acknowledge that power, we can find the strength to keep believing and pursuing God's grace to finish our course on earth regardless of our circumstances or challenges we face. That our "jars of clay" will never be shattered by earthly cares or worries, but will go through the fire so we can be strengthened and be used as a living testimony for others to know the power that is in Christ Jesus as we persevere and press on.

Don't Lose Your Joy
Everyday there are opportunities in life to get upset and loose your joy and peace. There are many things that can steal your joy – people, traffic, disappointments. But if you are going to live in victory you have to have to choose the right approach to life. It’s good to have plans, but submit your plans to God and decide in advance to stay in peace no matter what happens.
The Scripture says, “No man can take your joy.” That means no person can make you be unhappy. No circumstance can force you to get upset. It’s totally up to you. You have complete control of how peaceful and happy you want to live. When those inconveniences come, when your plans don’t work out or when somebody irritates you, you can decide, “I am not going to get upset. I am not going to lose my joy. I have the power to stay in peace.” Jesus put it this way in John 14:27, “Stop allowing yourself to be upset and disturbed.” Notice it’s a decision you have to make. Decide today to keep your joy and peace.
Change your approach and believe that God is directing your steps. Believe that you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. As you do, you’ll keep your joy and you will experience God’s blessing, and favor, and live the life of victory He has in store!

Something from a Childhood friend... BUT she is so right...
Just received this email from a friend and it's so true Life is just to short.....

When the law of an eye for an eye operates, all the people will end up blind. - Bishop Desmond Tutu
You simply cannot pay anyone back for something they did to you Look for the lesson and move on. if one man treats you badly, rejects you, abandons you, abuses or disrespects you, you cannot hold all men accountable. Look for the lesson and move on. If your ex-wife took your money, lied to you, neglected your children and your home, it does not mean no woman can be trusted. Look for the lesson and move on. If some White people are racists; some black people thieves; some intellectual people condescending; some uneducated people lazy; some light people uppity; some dark people ignorant; it does not give you the right or the authority to treat people who look the same or act the same any way you choose, based on your past experience. Ask yourself, What can I learn from this situation: What can I do this time that I did not do before: If there is nothing, simply move on.I am doing the best I can right now.

Health & Strength Challenge
Faith Sisters - My Life Verse
My Life Verse Challenge
The challenge this week is to scrapbook your "Life Verse." Your Life Verse is a verse from the Bible that should have special meaning for you personally… maybe the verse spoke to you at a certain time or during a certain circumstance in your life! My life verse is 1 Peter 1:8-9Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
This verse sums up my love for the Lord...an inexpressible and glorious joy in my soul. He is my best friend...even though I have yet to see him. He knows my deepest secrets and my wildest dreams. I haven't seen Him....but I know he is ALWAYS there!

His Creations, Challenge -
This week's challenge is to create a layout about one of your favorite parts of His creation. Since He created everything...you have lots of choices!
My favorite are the clouds eventhough I love all GOD's creations.....I always find myself taking picture of Clouds, sunsets, water, sand ... well I guess you get the hint......
I used Colossians 1:16 and Isaiah 40:28

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:11
For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God.Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it.Who did not create it in vain. Who formed it to be inhabitedI am the Lord and there is no other. ~Isaiah 45:18
He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding. ~Jeremiah 51:15
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. ~John 1:1-3

Scripture Challenge - Week 35 - Leaders (GOD'S)

God led me to a new Location I was ready and in the 2nd part of my Life - His leading; I am stepping out in faith and following His lead. Is it easy? No! Have tears been shed? Yes, many. Is there excitement? Yes, because I know His plan is amazing even though I don’t see it yet. And God never makes mistakes. I can rest in Him, and know that His leading is perfect.
Week 35: Leading (God’s) Who is in charge of your life? Is it God? Is it your husband, friends, co-workers? Where do you turn when a decision needs to be made? Sometimes it seems so much easier to turn to someone around us and get an immediate verbal answer to our decision. However, is that the direction that God would have you go? Is that His leading for your life? When trying to hear God’s leading for you, refer to our study in Week 31 when we studied Choice.
The list by Neil Anderson can be very helpful when trying to discern God’s leading for your life. To help us follow His leading, we can read His Word each and everyday. Cooperate with Him and follow His lead. There is no end to the possibilities of where He may lead you.
Think of Jochebed (Moses’ mother, see Exodus 2:1-5). She had to follow God’s leading in putting Moses into the basket and into the Nile. Then look at where He led Moses. And Moses was blessed and knew the Lord face to face (Deuteronomy 34:10)! Wow! I must follow His leading for my life just as Jochebed and Moses did.
Psalm 31:3 “Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me.”And I can’t end our lesson here without giving you what the Lord just gave me. I need to follow His lead and share the hymn “He Leadeth Me! O Blessed Thought” with you. I will just share the first verse and the chorus but if you get a chance, you should really listen to the entire hymn.He leadeth me! O blessed thought!O words with heavenly comfort fraught!Whate'er I do, where'er I be,Still 'tis God's hand that leadeth me.Chorus:He leadeth me, he leadeth me,By His own hand he leadeth me;His faithful follower I would be,For by His hand He leadeth me.
Is it God’s precious hand that leads you? Do you want to be His faithful follower? How can you watch for His leading in your life today or this week? How about this month or this year?
*** Take out your Bible and turn to the back look up "Leads" God's leading and see all the Chapter and Verse in the Bible that mentions "Leader ( Lead me) or God's Lead".... That's your Bible study for this week ..... And enjoy wherever the Lord may lead you!
