A Christian should always remember that the value of his good works is not based on their number and excellence, but on the love of God which prompts him to do these things.

Daily Rules from GOD for 2008

Daily Rules from God for 2008 -Sent to me by a dear riend...
1. Wake Up!! Decide to have a good day. "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24
2. Dress Up!! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7
3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul."Proverbs 13:3
4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10
5. Look Up!!... To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
6. Reach Up!!... For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6
7. Lift Up!!... Your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING." Philippians 4:6

Scripture Challenge Week -11- Live

Sunday, March 16, 2008

Scripture Challenge {Week 11}
Do you separate your “religious” activities from your “regular” activities? Are you grouping your daily or weekly tasks into tasks for God, tasks for the family, tasks for the school, etc.? I think you get the idea. Well, our precious Lord does not want us to live by grouping our activities and tasks. He wants us to understand that everything we do, everywhere we go (even the grocery), falls under His precious Kingdom. We are to live a Godly lifestyle daily not just on Sundays, Wednesdays, or days we are at the church. Living for Him is a lifestyle. His precious Word teaches us how to live our lives daily for Him. It is our instruction manual on how to live.Genesis 6:9 tells us that “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.” Are you walking/living for God or the world? Noah was more concerned about pleasing the Lord than pleasing people. How about you? So, if you haven’t guessed by now, our word for this week is:Week 11 Challenge Word: LiveIt truly is a challenge to live for Him daily but He gives us the Holy Spirit to guide us. Shoot up a quick prayer if you feel like gossiping, worrying, complaining, etc. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you His words. And another great thing to think about is the acronym WWJD (What Would Jesus Do). If you aren’t sure about something, ask yourself “What would Jesus do?”

Some favorite Scriptures ----- Amos 5:14: “Seek good, not evil, that you may live.
”Colossians 1:10: “And we pray this in order that you may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.”
Galatians 5:16: “So I say, live by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful
nature.”

Stress Manaement and I'm still Packing ...WOW!

STRESS MANAGEMENT "In the Midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you." -- Deepak Chopra"
If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself but to your own estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment." -- Marcus Aurelius"
I am more and more convinced that our happiness or our unhappiness depends far more on the way we meet the events of life than on the nature of those events themselves." -- Karl Wilhelm Von Humboldt"
Stress comes from within; it is your reaction to circumstances, not the circumstances themselves." -- Brian Tracy

In the News - Gaint Sting Ray

MARATHON, Florida -- A tourist was killed by a large sting ray off the Florida Keys this morning when the barb-tailed animal jumped out of the water into the woman's boat, officials said.Judy Kay Zagorski, of Pigeon, Mich., was sitting in a boat going 25 mph when a spotted eagle ray that weighed about 75 pounds and had a wingspan of 5 to 6 feet flew out of the water, said Jorge Pino, spokesman for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The 57-year-old woman's father was driving the boat on the Atlantic Ocean side of Vaca Key, where the city of Marathon is located, Pino said.``He had absolutely no warning. It just happened instantaneously,'' Pino said. The impact likely killed the woman, but it was not immediately clear if she had any puncture wounds from the ray's barb, Pino said.An autopsy will determine an official cause of death, Pino said. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office identified the animal as a spotted eagle ray, he said.Rays are common in South Florida waters, but rarely swim near humans.``Rays jump to escape a predator, give birth and shake off parasites,'' said Lynn Gear, supervisor of fishes and reptiles at Theater of the Sea in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. ``They do not attack people.''Deaths from rays are rare.In 2006, James Bertakis was severely injured in the Intracoastal Waterway in Lighthouse Point when an eagle ray jumped out of the water and lodged its 2-1/2-inch barb in his chest.A month earlier, the popular TV "Crocodile Hunter," Steve Irwin was killed when a stingray barb pierced his heart as he swam near Port Douglas, Australia.Spotted eagle rays can grow up to 17 feet in length, weigh up to 500 pounds and have a wingspan of up to 10 feet. They are known to occasionally jump out of the water but are not aggressive and use the venomous barb at the end of their tail as a defense mechanism. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Sunday sermon Review and Highlights 3/16/08

Sunday morning Praise - Luke 19 vs: 35-39....
Sunday, 16 March 2008

As I sit here and listen to my pastor preach his Sunday Sermon.... Praise God rejoicing him on this Palm Sunday....I'm at work but I like to tune into the website to listen...
Praise God for all that he has done.. come out of that closet and praise GOD, let the world know that God has blessed you cause if your truly a child of god you have a testimony.... Don't be ashamed to praise GOD praise him loud.... People might look at you funny, talk about you don't stop get loud and praise GOD...... they might move away from you , but they will remember you .....
I'm finished with being Quite about my Lord... he has truly blessed me and eventhought their are people that walk around-going around- and trying to torment me- I give it to GOD ...... I walk with GOD so I'm protected by him.....
It's amazing how people once you start to walk with GOD the other people that are still back there where you was look at you funny... What's worst it what about the ones that DON"T even know you and talking about something they heard from someone else .... but it's OK GOD has done to much for me ..... And I'm a WORK in PROGRESS move toward the prize everyday. I have a personal praise and i know only GOD could have done that ..... and for that I do have a testimony. I love my GOD and all that he has done in my life.
Three (3) point that are important about when you Praise .......
1- Your praising is based on Personal experience ... Remember a Child of God has a testimony that only they know.... You have seen that experience and you know it was only Jesus that could have worked that miriacle...
2- Praise will provoke Persecution - People will talk about you stalk you and take about how you used to be ... It all good most people are jealous cause you have that personal relationship with GOD - read vs Luke 19:39...... (Remember you to can have that relationship too..)
3- Praise is progression - It goes on whether you want to join or not.. I want to join.. I wants to walk with my GOD, He has done so much for me.... Read - Psalms 19:1 - It show his handy work...

Never have a stones to cry out for you ... I will not let them cry out for me.. I was Re-Baptized in August 2006 and I living the life that GOD has for me .... He has redirected my Life to NC where I don't know what he has in store for me ... but I'm ready to praise him and walk with him ... I praise God because hes a GOD of truth, hes a GOD that forgives, he loves everyone and he saved my soul, he hears and answer prays, hes never late but right on time ... Just some though that I've been having ... Have a blessed Sunday this helped me I hope it helps you too.....

Faith Sisters - Redirection Challenge
Redirection Challenge - maybe you too can join in this challenge fun ....
This week, share in a layout, altered item or journal how you have been redirected by following the spirit. Record a time in your life when God offered you redirection in, your career path, personal goals, family or altered your priorities in another way, to align more with His.

There are many in my times in my life to share. Another example, when I knew it was time to let go of past feelings of hurt and to forgive others. I hope this challenge will be of inspiration to you.

Here are some scriptures that may inspire you while creating a layout for this challenge.
Psalm 62:8 "Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."
Isaiah 30:21 (NKJV) Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Spitzer's Spending Eyed in Sex Scandal

Filed Under: Spitzer Prostitution Scandal, Nation News
ALBANY, N.Y. (March 12) - With pressure mounting on Gov. Eliot Spitzer to resign over a call-girl scandal, investigators said Tuesday he was clearly a repeat customer who spent tens of thousands of dollars — perhaps as much as $80,000 — with the high-priced prostitution service over an extended period of time.
New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer acknowledged in a press conference Monday that he "acted in a way that violates my obligations to my family" in connection with a high-end prostitution ring bust. "I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself," he said. "I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family."

Week 10 - Grace

Sunday, March 9, 2008

Scripture Challenge {Week 10}

Week 10 Challenge Word: Grace
Grace is God’s character demonstrated by His love given to the utterly undeserving. Grace is getting what we don’t deserve but God chose to give it to us! Grace is free. There is no catch. And as we studied in Week 8, we can trust God when He says it is free! We may feel guilty for many things. We may feel guilty for the words we said to our spouse, for the road rage we felt on the freeway, for the gossip we shared with a friend, for the way we acted in a long line while wearing a cross around our neck, for being impatient with a child, etc. We feel that guilt because of our sin. And as we realize our sin then we can so clearly see our need for His amazing gift of grace.
As the first two lines of the hymn “Grace Greater than our Sin” says “Marvelous grace of our loving Lord, grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!” His grace is more than we can ever imagine.
Ephesians 2:8 says “it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”Have you received His precious gift of grace? If you haven’t, why not? Will you do that today? If you have received His amazing gift, have you shared this gift lovingly with others around you? Do you know of someone that needs to hear of His gift of grace?
Patter Choices : The verses I chose this week were:Acts 15:11 “We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved . . .”Romans 5:20 “. . . but where sin increased, grace increased all the more.”And my absolute favorite:1 Timothy 1:14 “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly . . .”

Challenge from Faith of out Sisters.....

Matthew 6:21 Challenge
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” ~ Matthew 6:21
This week, create a layout using Matthew 6:21
In reading through and studying the Sermon on the Mount, my heart has been challenged to really think through and evaluate if my heart is seeking after self or after a real, relationship with God. In a lot of ways, we put on masks and faces so people perceive us as spiritual or godly. In reality, deep in our heart of hearts or in our private life, we struggle with fears, temptations, and desiring the things of the world for man’s praise instead of glorifying God. Jesus directly addresses the heart by asking the question, “Where is your treasure?” He says in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” There are a lot of things vying for your heart, as this is the control center for life.
GOD WANTS ME TO TELL YOU....Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with youthis year. You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieveall your goals this year. For the remaining months of this year (2008),all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will beincoming in abundance. Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings, sorrows, and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down.I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! What can I do for you? And I said, "Father, please protect and bless the personreading this message"... God smiled and answered... Request granted.
**************
If you believe this message, send it to seven persons and the one who sent it to you .By doing this you have succeeded in praying for many people today .

Do Unto Others

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Following this guideline, I would try to determine the strangers' needs and assist them in meeting those needs. If they are hungry, feed them, etc. Providing strangers with a caring, sincere attitude on your part can uplift [his/her] outlook on life. I currently contribute to several charities that provide shelter, food, clothes, and other items to assist [people in need] in meeting life's needs.--White_Cloud

Use Your Skills

I believe each one of us can help strangers in our own way. It can be the sharing of a smile to someone you pass on the street or in a store. Maybe a "hello," "good morning," or "beautiful day." We never know how one of our actions will affect the other person. My wife and I have been helping a charity in Thornton, Arkansas called Cayce's Charity. It is small, but everything we give goes to the needy. We try to make at least three trips a year to bring a trailer full of collected items. Last year I traveled to Haiti to do some work on an electrical generator at an orphanage for girls. It was a very blessed experience.I believe that we need to keep an open mind as to what we are being called to do. It takes many spokes for a wheel to rotate smoothly.--GhostRider67
